The Cooperative Education Coordinator will instruct students in career and workplace related theory, including aspects of professionalism, responsibility, teamwork and the like; network with local employers and technical teachers to match opportunities with students; review student eligibility for co-op, including contacting technical teachers for approval and reviewing grades, attendance, and discipline records; ensure that all necessary paperwork such as employment contracts, parental consent, work permits, employer clearances, etc. is completed and maintained; visit employers to observe student’s workplace and general work performance; act as a liaison between the student and employer; monitor and maintain accurate records of student progress and submit grade reports as required; create a positive environment conducive toward learning; work cooperatively with other staff members and promote a cohesive team-based approach to the program and curriculum; contact parents or guardians when necessary; attend school functions as required; perform other duties as requested or assigned by administration.
