Description: The SUN Area Technical Institute, located in New Berlin, PA, is seeking candidates to fill the opening for the Assistant Administrative Director beginning with the 2025-26 SY.

 

This individual will assist with curriculum development, staff development, student discipline, funding sources and teacher supervision in a 12th grade technical school. Certification as a Vocational Administrative Director or candidates who possess PDE Principal Certification may be considered with a minimum of three years’ experience.

• Collaborate with sending school administrators to support ECTS students

• Full-time, 228-day administrative contract (Act 93)
• The starting salary range is roughly $80,000 to $95,000 based on experience and/or level of education.
• You must have or be willing to obtain Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Clearances.  
• Candidates without appropriate certification through the PDE must be willing to complete the coursework requirements to obtain either PA CTE Supervisor or CTE Director certification, or K12 Secondary Principal Certification, within 3 years.  
• Masters’ Degree in Education or related field and experience in Career and Technical Education is preferred.

Computer Networking Instructor – CIP Code 11.0901
The CMN instructor is responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program focusing on basic skills in a variety of areas associated with computer networking that will support the Pennsylvania Occupational Standards (POS) for CIP Code 11.0901. Instruction includes but is not limited to computer hardware and operating systems, use of networking cable making tools, SOHO and enterprise configuration, and knowledge of TCP/IP.

Position Requirements

1. Possess a PDE Vocational Teaching certification in Facility Maintenance Trades.
